Carrie Lannon’s passion for business started at age eight when she discovered that she could tie-dye t-shirts and sell them from a mobile pop-up store – her Radio Flyer® wagon.
Fast-forward to adulthood, when her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to create Lannon Communications. For 12 years, the marketing firm specialized in brand activations for renowned, best-in-class lifestyle companies including Tiffany & Co., Prada, Equinox Fitness Clubs, Louis Vuitton, Mercedes-Benz and W Hotels.
When the corporate world came calling, Carrie answered. As Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., she created a department to attract sponsors for the company’s consumer shows, including The Armory Show, the international art fair in New York. She grew sponsor revenue to over $1 million in her first year.
Next, Carrie created a public relations department for ULTA Beauty, a store group with 1000+ locations. As National Director of Public Relations, she expanded brand awareness over three years by delivering a 2000% increase in ULTA’s social media fan base to reach one million followers and a 900% increase in publicity. The brand was named as one of America’s fastest-growing companies by Forbes and Fortune media during her tenure.
With Lannon Consulting, Carrie continues leveraging her passion for business and communications. She is also a civic and charity advocate, and has won leadership awards and recognitions from the Art Institute of Chicago, the Magnificent Mile Association, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Mayor's Office of Chicago and more.
